JD Summerschool: 7-10 august, The Netherlands


What: The JD Summerschool will focus on the topic ‘Sustainability in the MENA Region’. It will be four days of talks, games and discussions with experts on the MENA region, on an accessible level. The whole event will be held in English and we welcome people from all over the world to come and visit. Last year we had a diverse program including MEPs Sophie In’t Veld and Marietje Schaake and a relaxing boat tour through the area.


When: From the 7th of August till the 10th of August. On Wednesday the 7th we will start around 3 o’clock in the afternoon, and on saturday we will be finished around 12 o’clock in the morning.


Where: The Summerschool will take place in Vierhouten (Het Frusselt 30, 8076 RE Vierhouten), reachable by train and bus in about two hours from Schiphol Airport. The exact location and route description will be provided to the guests before arrival.


In accordance with privacy laws and our political views on privacy, we explicitly ask your permission to take pictures or video material of you. If you object to pictures or video material being made of you we give our photographers instructions to avoid taking your picture or have you in a picture. You can always make objections about pictures that have been posted during or after the event. You give us permission to use any of the pictures that are taken during the event for promotional purposes. You can always object after a picture has been used for promotional reasons. The organization will take down the picture asap after it has received a notification from you.

General Terms JD Summerschool 2019


  1. There is a limited amount of beds available, full = full
  2. After completing the registration process the participant is required to pay the fee for participating in the Summerschool.
  3. Restitution of the fee is not possible
  4. When no payment has been received at the start of the Summerschool, it's possible to pay directly upon arriving at the location. According to section d, the facilities are not guaranteed. Without payment in advance or directly upon arrival, it's not possible to participate in the event.
  5. The national treasurer verifies if the payment has been made and if a participant can participate.
  6. In case that any information provided conflicts with these terms, the clausules from the general terms apply, except when mentioned that the information explicitly deviates from these clausules.
  7. The National Board is at all times qualified to make exceptions to these terms or set new clausules. They shall be communicated timely to all participants.
